Abstracts

Please note we are no longer accepting further submissions for this years conference.

We received a record number of submissions for Refocus on Recovery 2019. All submissions were reviewed by the Scientific Advisory Board, which accepted 127 presentations (81 individual talks, 4 symposia with a total of 24 talks, and 22 posters) from 18 countries. This means that, including key-note speakers, there will be 138 presentations from 23 countries at Refocus on Recovery 2019.

Oral presentations

The oral presentations will take place in parallel sessions throughout the conference. For the 2019 conference we have reduced the time allocated for a parallel presentation, to give more time for questions and interaction. Each oral presentation will be allocated a 10 minute slot. The aim will be to give an outline of the design and main findings, rather than a very detailed description of the research. We therefore suggest (where slides are used) a limit of 3-4 slides of information. Each parallel session will include allocated time for questions at the end of the talks, and we also encourage networking with presenters in breaks between sessions to learn more about their study. Please note all rooms will be equipped with a computer, data projector, and microphones in the lecture theatres. If you require any further equipment please let us know.

Poster presentations

All poster presentations will be displayed for the duration of the conference. Poster format will be portrait A1 (59.5cm x 84.1 cm, 23.4inches x 33.1inches).
